Finally, Apple woke up to the need for a music-sharing widget for iTunes.  Here are my all-time favorites (4 and 5-star songs):

I've compiled an iTunes playlist of my favorite new songs of the year as an iMix.  Click here to launch iTunes and see the song list.  Some of these are oldies (e.g. the Brian Eno), but only recently discovered by me. 

BTW: If I could get Mog.com's MOG-O-MATIC to work, I'd use that method of keeping friends posted, but it seems not to work under Vista.
